The Great GeogBake Off
GIS Day November 14
Enter your most creative GIS-themed cake/cupcakes/dessert in our annual GIS Day cake contest! We'll have two categories for awards: 1) originality/creativity and 2) best bake.
Feel free to bake your own dessert or purchase pre-made cakes to decorate gloriously and fight for one of two Star Baker titles. Just be sure to avoid those soggy bottoms.
To participate in this delicious event, drop your dessert off in the Spatial Analysis Lab (INTL 300) between 9 and 10 a.m. on November 14. Ideally, we'd love to know how many entries to expect, so if you plan to participate, email Prof. Spera at sspera@richmond.edu by Monday, November 11. (But if you're inspired to bake after this date, we will accept day-of submissions, just drop them off in the SAL). On your mark, get set, BAKE!
Note to Students about Kitchens: The kitchen in Westhampton Deanery is an option for baking your cake. It is important to note that there are no kitchen utensils including trays or bowls that are available for students to use there. Another option for students is to cook with a friend at University Forest Apartments (UFA) or a Gateway Apartments. For a list of all the available dates and kitchens that can be reserved on campus go to http://ems.richmond.edu/EMSWebApp/Default.aspx.
